My ideal job

Hi all again! How are you? I hope you are good. This day I will talk about how I imagine my dream job as a midwife in the future. This is present in everyday because this is an incentive or motivation to work hard every day to be better and I become the best midwife and work on what I like. Well, my dream is to work in the areas of obstetrics and neonatology. I'm not sure yet, but so far I am inclined to neonatology.
I love the babies. I feel the call to dedicate my life to his care either before birth (antepartum), at the time of delivery or after birth. I imagine working for a while in the immediate newborn care and after in neonatal ICU.
My ideal job is within of the public system because I think that people who are seen in these hospitals are most lacking in good health care in society and therefore a real need to cover the requirements of this sector of the population.
Really, I don’t dream with having a great position or titles but with the recognition of the people I attend in the sense that they can trust in my work as a midwife. I want to be responsible for each of the women and newborns I attend and they notice it.
Respect to the time of an ideal job for me, the only thing I care about is to always have time for people I love.
Well, this is all for today. I hope you have a nice next weekend.
Kisses!

My love story

Hi all!! I hope you are well. Blog of today talks about an issues very relevant in my life. I will tell you about my love story.
Well, many of you know who is my boyfriend, his name Ernesto and also studied midwifery.
It all started in March last year, when we first spoke. This was the day of “mechoneo” or welcome new students of midwifery.
I don’t remember when the first time I saw him was, but he saw me long before talk to me. From what he tells me, I always liked him… from the first moment.
Our first conversation was very long and interesting. He wanted to meet again with me and me too with him.
The first kiss was a while later, this was the March 18 and from there we are not separated ever. Except for one occasion when I decided not to pursue the relationship, but then everything was fixed. Even he was not my boyfriend. Perhaps this is not very common, but I asked if I wanted to be. This was a day May 28 and he said yes.
From the beginning we got along very well, we had fun, we talked, and we supported on each item, and this is so far. He is the best boyfriend in the world, the most loving, the most attentive ... I am very happy with it… I love him.
Well classmates, this is all for today. I see you at the next blog.
Kisses!

Education and prevention in midwifery

Hi everyone! This day I will talk about a very important issue in my future career us a midwife and also it is relevant in the area of general health. I think every professional must know and apply this theme to provide a complete service to the community. The issue to which I refer is the education and health prevention.
In my area there are many areas of the education and prevention. The midwife focuses his attention on the different stages of life of women and the newborn, but as this is not worth by itself is done through education of his mother.
There are different areas of education in midwifery, some of them are sex education, contraception, STDs, HIV, sexual rights, relaxation techniques ante partum, newborn care and more.
Education also gives the midwife does not necessarily directed only at women, but may include your partner or someone close.
From my point of view prevention will always be better or easier than cure. Through prevention we can avoid presenting a series of unwanted situations for the patient and her family.
The prevention is achieved through education; this is the fundamental tool for progress in the community. For example, if we are to prevent the emergence of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), we must educate about condom use in relation how you use and what its importance.
Education is always addressed to a specific group of people who need to receive education about a particular topic. In addition, in each control with the midwife, she gives a set of indications for their care, that is education is carried out continuously.
Currently we have several educational programs that target women at different stages of life, an example is the famous show “Chile Crece Contigo”.
I hope I have contributed something with the blog today. I would like to repeat the relevance of that now we are aware about the importance of education and prevention to provide a fully integral attention our future patients.
Hugs!

Gender Role in Health Care

Hi classmates! I hope you are great. I am a bad cold.
Well, referring to today’s topic… today I will talk about the Gender Role in Health Care. This is a subject very controversial and interesting because the gender differences. Specifically, I will discuss about the role of gender in my career in midwifery.
Since the inception of the profession of midwifery, women have fulfilled this role. Formerly, the man couldn’t even be present at the birth of his soon but were the midwives who were in charge of attending the birth of his wife.
Today this situation has changed because both women and men may choose to study midwifery.
Although the number of women midwives are considerably larger than the number of men engaged in this area.
Women born with the maternal effect, with the sense of caring for a newborn or even know what is going through that process because they were mothers. Instead, obviously the men didn’t, but this has its advantages because I think this makes them much more careful with patient.
Jobs in general there are differences between sex and this weighted against women specially in their condition us such because they are mother or can be. The thinking is that employers lose money to hire them since they become pregnant and are absent from job for a long time, and this period can not legally be fired.
In the case of health professionals, I think it shows good performance of women.
In my career both (man and woman) accomplish exactly the same role. Health centers in some patient prefer to be served by women because it gives them more confidence, and other patient prefers men because they said they treat them with more affection.
Well, this is all for today and the message I give is that we are all equal and should have the same treatment and rights.
A hug!
